This is how we do it

We use barbless hooks and practice 100% catch and release. The occasional grip-n-grin is known to happen(especially when taking pictures for the website), but for the most part we just get a picture in the net and let ‘em go! Our goal is to share the resource we love as well as protect it.

We LOVE beginners at Lupo Fly Fishing! There is nothing better than giving someone their first casting lesson and then seeing them on the water, thinking through what they just learned and then catching that first fish. It never gets old.

Meet the guide. Ed Reposa

known to use the “royal we”, lover of squirmy worms…

I’m a former chef + restaurant owner. I started Lupo Fly Fishing in 2024.

I grew up in southeastern Massachusetts, riding my bmx bike for miles to go fishing for bass + panfish. Later on when I became more mobile, I started surfcasting for striped bass and bluefish. Along the way I dabbled in art + writing and was always playing music in post-punk/noise-rock/shoegaze bands. Much to my eternal surprise, these never worked out.

I often joke that I was just wasting my life until I discovered fly fishing and now I want to introduce it to as many people as I can. My goal is to provide you with the best possible experience, tailored to what you want to get out of it. The main thing to remember is that it’s supposed to be fun. Too many people take it(and themselves) far too seriously. It can be intimidating to try to figure out how to even get started. I created Lupo Fly Fishing to provide a safe, inclusive, relaxed place for people of all abilities, genders and backgrounds to experience what fly fishing is all about. No one is born knowing how to do this and evryone has the right to learn! At the end of the day I can’t guarantee the fishing will be good but I can guarantee that lunch will be.
